A “Cultural Immersion” is an opportunity to learn about another culture. Usually stays are for a week or more without studying abroad. You can volunteer as well, but usually, the student just hangs out with their host family and gets to experience the culture and language through activities and outings that the host family provides.
It is more affordable since there is no cost related to school tuition, books, and transportation. Let us know if you would like to know more about our Conexus Cultural Immersion programs.
These programs are for students who have an Intermediate or higher level of the language of the country they are visiting.
“Cultural Exchanges” allows you to swap with another person your age the same length of time as another student but from another country. Each person stays at the other person’s home, but usually at different times so both participants have that time together getting to know each other and their families.
It is very affordable since you would be responsible for your own travel and spending money. Also, you can decide to do one week or a few. We will help coordinate and to help you find the right fit.
